There are many reasons why giving back to the communities in which we live and work is valuable.  First and foremost, we are grateful for the opportunity provided to us by our loyal customers.  By recognizing our hard work and commitment, our customers have allowed us to hire quality people and to maintain a successful business in the Sacramento area.  Both as an organization and through a charitable matching program, we participate with a wide range of non-profit organizations in making our communities stronger.

 

Additionally, we have identified two signature causes that are going to be consistent focal areas for us:

 

1. As the owner of a business founded under the permission offered to service-related disabled veterans, our founder Alvin Benton has always taken time to do what he can to help the men and women who have served our country.  Accordingly, look for FARO to be lending a hand to those who have struggled in life after giving significantly through their service.  We are helping with time, services, and economic support to various entities and are always looking for referrals to find new ways to make a positive differences.

2. Our other major initiative is healthy behavior reinforcement for kids in the formative K-8 age group.  For 2018, we are focusing on choosing to drink water as their first choice (as opposed to chemical laden or sugar rich alternatives).  To this point, we are giving out boxes and boxes of refillable sports bottles out to schools that are installing bottle filling stations to make that choice easier for kids regardless of economic means.  We hope to reach thousands of kids in the Sacramento area this year and encourage you to tell a school administrator about our giving program.
